LADIES OWN TRANSPORT SERVICES (LOTS) – DRIVING SCHOOL Lesson Forfeiture Policy

At LOTS, we strive to provide the best possible learning experience for all our students. The phenomenon of students canceling lessons at last minute with no plausible excuses have become the order of the day. We are therefore forced to safeguard unnecessary costs and instructors time. Also, to ensure that our scheduling system runs smoothly and to maximize the availability of lessons for all students, we have implemented the following lesson forfeiture policy:

1. Booking and Confirmation
– Students are responsible for sending their weekly requests for lessons including alternative days and times through the LOTS whatsapp booking number: 064 523 5599.
– Once a lesson is booked, a confirmation will be sent to the student via the Driveez app and email.

2. Reminders
– Automated reminders for upcoming lessons will be sent through the Driveez Booking App, once the lesson has been scheduled, going simultaneously to the student and instructor as well as via email day before the scheduled lesson. We endeavor to book and students lessons at far ahead as possible, based on the clearness and availability for their requests.
– It is the student’s responsibility to check their Driveez Booking App and any other communication channels for these reminders.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling
– Students must cancel or reschedule their lessons at least 4 hours before the scheduled lesson time.
– Cancellations or rescheduling can be done through the Driveez Booking App in the message section to their Instructor and by contacting LOTS directly. A whatsapp message is acceptable based on the time stamp.

4. No-Show Policy
– A “no-show” is defined as a failure to attend a scheduled lesson without providing at least 4 hours’ notice.
– In the event of a no-show, the lesson will be forfeited, and the student will be charged the full lesson fee.

5. Late Cancellations
– Cancellations made less than 4 hours before the scheduled lesson time will be considered late cancellations.
– Late cancellations will result in a forfeiture of the lesson, and the student will be charged the full lesson fee.

6. Exceptional Circumstances
– We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can occur. In such cases, students are encouraged to contact LOTS as soon as possible.
– Exceptions to the forfeiture policy may be made at the discretion of the management on a case-by-case basis.

7. Accountability
– To avoid forfeiture, students are encouraged to regularly check the Driveez Booking App and their communication channels for reminders and updates regarding their lessons.
– Consistent no-shows or late cancellations may result in additional penalties, including the potential suspension of booking privileges.
